If your coverage of Andrew Yang doesn’t explain that his plan for “giving people money” is based on also shredding the social safety net, you have failed to explain Andrew Yang.

Andrew Yang's UBI program is for CITIZENS ONLY, which is why some white nationalists loved it. This would have excluded ~2.5 million noncitizen residents of NYC. He has a 25-question UBI FAQ, but nothing on how to support noncitizens.

Yang didn't get close to becoming president, and if he somehow did, Congress would never pass his UBI. He wanted it to be funded by a big tax on almost everything that would ALSO raise prices.
(He says it wouldn't raise prices, because businesses would just try harder.)
