JFC, by 2001 Belichick had already flipped 46 roster spots from the 1999 Grier/Carroll team, and by then there were just 7 players left from 1996, including a K Parcells wanted to cut, a WR he cut twice (Brown), a back up QB (Bledsoe) and a player he gave up on (Bruschi). 46! https://twitter.com/gary_tanguay/status/1337247374448746497
There was one Pro Bowler from the 1996 roster - Willie McGinest. As far as Ted Johnson, in 1999 his career was on shaky ground. He appeared in 5 games and had a total of 38 tackles. Law and Milloy blossomed under Carroll, both making all-pro in 98/99.
So Tanguay would have you believe that Willie, Ty and Milloy got BB 6 rings, even though they were on the active roster for just ONE of the 9 Super Bowl appearences (2001). This level of dumbfuckery is somehow the norm when it comes to some of Boston Media's Parcells revisionism.
