Mornin #footballindex geezers & gals!
So, the old man fell on his sword last night? It was a necessary move. @MikeB_FI is the new gaffer & I have full confidence in him - his true passion for FI was evident when he did those Talksport segments in 2019, which is relevant..

..after a recent "controversial" Youtube video inadvertently highlighted how complex FI has now become, leading to misinformation being easily spread
Yet when it was "simpler" Mike still couldn't sell the concept to Jim White, Danny Murphy etc, after weeks of appearances!

Not that the Talksport crew are the brightest but it was heartbreaking to listen to those weekly 10 minute segments knowing Mike had a massive audience of potential new traders, yet failed to get the presenters engaged or excited about FI, which transmitted to the listener.

But Mike's passion always came through. That was never in doubt. So I'm very happy he is now top dog at FI, and I am glad he used the word "reset" in his extract regarding his CEO appointment - I am taking it as another word for "simplify", something that is now imperative!

Needless, over-complications need to go (does that include Akash? Ha!) and by that I mean the following:
1. There should be ONE portfolio valuation, not FOUR options! All traders should be on the same page (its an arbitrary number anyway). Set at "Buy Price" like before.

2. Remove the "average all offers" price below the buy/sell buttons and simply change the buy price to the average price of all offers. Again, its an arbitrary number as we know when we check depth that we are always going to pay a cheaper buy price than what's displayed

3. Reduce the top 200 page to just the top 100 - this then matches up with the Footie number, which is an accurate indicator of the combined mid-price of the top 100 players each day. Much tidier & more relevant. Makes more sense to new users from a trading background.

4. Market close - Extend it from 11pm to midnight, in line with when MB scores are counted up to. Again, tidier & makes more sense cos the game is still in play (allows instant sell of a player we were only keeping because they were top of MB, if they get pipped at 11.45pm)

5. Cut-off times for PB/MB/IPDs - this is one I am torn on! For "simplicity" there'd be no cut-off times. Buy at any time of the day to qualify for divs. I fear this may impact the feeling of "winning" that we get now though and cause greater volatility (drops next day).
