Rangers could mean many things. Did a successor to the Rebels story move to live action? Maybe. Are we getting a Thrawn Trilogy-esque New Republic vs. Thrawn showdown? Kinda seems like it. Obviously super intrigued. But I still hope for an animated telling of post-Rebels ppl.

I’m sure James Earl Jones will have his vital part to play? This notion of the “rematch” is intriguing. But how many times has Star Wars taken something we believe to know and be true and played just enough between the lines to totally alter our perception of it?
I’m so excited at the prospects of this. And we have seen through Rey and Kylo that you don’t necessarily need to be in the same place to clash sabers 💁🏻

I know very little about this story, but I do know my beloved Rick Famuyiwa was tapped to direct this when Fox had it. His relationship with Lucasfilm now gives me hope that he’ll still be onboard. And he’s not just a comedy guy. There’s genuine, raw emotion in Taika’s stories and he always delivers them perfectly that makes you laugh and cry as you take them in. I’m so excited for him and his movie. And I’m excited for us as fans.

I’m so pumped for Patty Jenkins and I’m so pumped for whoever is writing this script because it’s a film I have dreamed of writing myself many times. I thought Squadrons was gonna be as good as it gets for starfighter nerds like me, but WOW. This is actually coming. JFC.
What are the era implications of this movie? The graphic has a T-65 X-Wing and Patty goes to one in her incredible video. BUT are they married to that? Because as some have suggested, I am licking my lips at the prospect of post-TROS pilots flying into the future of Star Wars
And flying as a tribute to the legacy of Rogue Squadron of old. I want to meet the fresh faces, I want to obsess over them like I did when reading the novels. I want to cheer their victories and promotions, I want to feel the pain and darkness when they are shot down.
I’m so ready to fall in love with this film. I hope it’s brilliant. And Patty delivered one of the most iconic cinematic superhero moments of all time...with how she’s invested in this type of story, I think she’s gonna blow us away with this.
I bought the Rogue Squadron spirit jersey from the Celebration store the minute the store opened up. Y’all can fucking guess what I’ll be wearing opening night at the theater.
