When focusing only on #Europe (83 researchers), the #East ("new" #EU members) have literally 2 representatives - both from @CZUvPraze .
That's all, no #East non-EU members.

Some things should be considered:
1) I didn't weighted for the amount of institutions/researchers in the countries - it's not the same as popullation. Some disproportion might be caused by this.
2) I didn't look at number of papers - that would be more diverse, I guess.

However, this suggests who are the gatekeepers of knowledge and where does their background come from.
High level of #inequality in #academia. Food for thought, I guess.
