1. I've some concerns about the "imminent" care review". The first is that it will arrive too late to change the lives of so many children in & leaving care whose daily lives are struggle, pain & loneliness. The care experienced community has waited for a fair hearing for so long
2. Another concern is thr Review will have a politically approved Chair, an insider happy to pursue the govt agenda, not the interests of children in care. This is a genuine worry looking at this government's track record of forcing its way on the care experienced community.>
3. Another concern is the voices of care experienced people will be lost in the clamour of the care sector & vested interests, all coming together with ministers & civil servants to shape the agenda & ensure reform doesn't threaten their interests.This clamour is deafening now.>
4. Civil servants & the Review Chair must be mindful that the best interests of the care industry need not be the same as those of children & young people. So many voices to be heard. My fear remains that it will be the same old voices heard who run the broken system we have now
