A very timely editorial by @EconomicTimes. Fact is the #Farmers issues & #FarmersProtests has meant #FarmerPolitics & #FarmerProtestHijacked which has very dangerous portents. It's not just the maximalistic position but raising of the bar to say that negotiation is with a gun.

No govt can afford to allow that to happen. The demands now being made are just not tenable. Imagine saying that what is a state subject the centre cannot pass any laws on those!! First step to disintegrate the country. Bringing in soldiers or openly asking all Indian army Sikh

soldiers to mutiny is the next dangerous signal about the protest. Openly displaying #Khalistan posters & invoking #Bhindranwale is the 3rd signal on the real intent. Finally to keep upping the ante is proof enough of intent of the organisers of this so called #FarmersProtests

Let's get real. Real farmers would NEVER do any such action. The secret organisers are playing Russian roulette & given the high stakes game being played no surprises for guessing who are behind this nefarious plot. The Chinese friends & video game advisers of the teenage prince

are holding the reins & have used the good #CaptAmarinder to start something that they have now hijacked. It's impossible for me to believe that @capt_amarinder would support a protest where there is a call for mutiny by the Indian army. The biggest Qns are actually this. Did the

govt not have Intel on what the opposition were doing? Are opposition leaders like @PawarSpeaks blindsided by the hidden hand & caught between a rock & a hard place or are they willing followers of the way the protest is being handled? The left no doubt are willing supporters of

the efforts to dissect the country, create chaos & help the Chinese. Just see the latest posters being used. But what about #ShivSena & others who are getting dragged into a quicksand. This protest will not end well unless the opposition urgently disassociate from each of the

dangerous & unacceptable displays, comments & posters openly. If not they will allow themselves to be guilty by association with anti national elements out to destroy India with their blind hate for one man #Modi. In today's social media, mobile phone camera, whatsapp & TV world

anybody who thinks that they have complete control over the narrative are in a fantasy world. The reforms & programs of the @narendramodi govt have touched the last mile in the farming community over 6yrs & that credibility will not go away. The dynasty story will not sell easily

The backlash can hurt the opposition very badly & to me the only opposition leader who seems to have understood this is #MamataBanerjee #DeveGowda & such who have kept away. Those who argue about the optics by the govt & it's failures are also blinded by their opposition & not

seeing the dangerous no limits poker game being played. The farmers issues have long passed into the background. What is today in the forefront & continuing are the intrangience, left icons, mutiny calls, Khalistan & future threats. This is what will stay in the people's mind.

Those who wish to confuse these concerns with their views on how the govt could have handled this better, how there should have been more discussions etc on the bills are missing the point. The current hijacking of a genuine farmer viewpoint by inimical forces needs to stop & NOW
