The logic is simple, in the absence of any legal basis for MSP application, it is necessary that:
1. Govt validate MSP Policy through some written instrument

Now, since MSP cannot legally be enforced on State APMCs & Mandis, it is applicable only on Govt purchases as part of its own Policy, the situation clearly benefits “middlemen”, so the idea that “middlemen” are raising this protest sounds illogical at the outset.

So,
1. State APMCs will remain, Centre can’t and isn’t touching them
2. Private Mandis are also on, now similar Tax on sale will be applicable there too
3. MSP is not legally enforceable on “middlemen”

Why will middlemen fund the protest? What is the logic?

Protest is essentially by Farmers, fuelled by specific set of Politicians across Political Parties, who have for decades controlled Agriculture Sector, who fear loss of control/grip.

They have turned small matters into large confusions, financed big farmer leaders & set goals.

Goal given to Farmer Leaders is to get the Farm Reforms repealed.

Those Politicial Leaders who are fuelling this know that such moves are never repealed, less so with Modi ji, who will not buy the Bluff. They are hoping confrontation will sour Modi-Farmer relations.

And then on the sides you have Professional Protestors, who run NGOs, receive foreign funding, whose FCRA is screwed badly, they, along with Foreign Agencies use every protest in India to run anti-India, anti-Modi Agenda.

Game of Political Leaders with vested interest, Foreign Agencies & NGOs based professionals protestors is, however, very intricately interwoven, BJP/Modi Supporters in social media should abuse Farmers to spoil relations, so @bdutt carefully planted & highlighted Khalistan Story.

Since that story, and all the photo op, the debate around the Farmer Protest turned to accusations of Farmers being Khalistanis.

Successfully created acrimony between Farmers or certain areas and BJP.

But BJP Leadership has been far more sensitive & sensible.

Going by yesterday’s Press Conference, despite Farmers’ one-point agenda of “Repeal Farm Reforms”, Govt Ministers maintained a compassionate approach, focused on key grouse areas, offered open-minded compromise on those & proposed resolution.

Therefore, just the Soldiers lost their edge during undue pushing of OROP Matter, Farmers will lose theirs now.

Govt has shown sincerity, sensitivity and sensibility. Whole nation has witnessed it. Farmer Leaders will lose face within a week.
Average Farmer will stand with Govt.
