following the UN peace process and promise to dialogue seeing an end to hostilities in the Sahara between Morocco and the Polisario front , a promise by the UN was made to find a permanent political process resulting in a compromise for both sides.

the United States have kept it's neutrality regarding Western Sahara being careful knowing it could upset the balance in a already troubled region.
Morocco was fine with no US recognition, without it. It still kept it's hold on the land

Over the years the US

relations with Algeria

have grown massively in retards to cooperation in economy, military and most importantly Counter terrorism in the Maghreb

Morocco historically a US ally has never been worried about US Approachment to Algeria because they always knew the US prefers Morocco over Algeria, who historically is alligned with Russia/China.

Now why does Western Sahara concern Algeria-US relations.
Algeria is the main financial, economic and Military supporter of the Polisario, fighting Morocco

Sahrawi refugees are currently placed in Tindouf, Southwest Algeria.

is it yet to see how Algerian officials would respond to this deal, but one can be sure that Algiers will be extremely agitated at this which can be even be seen a sa provocations from the US

recognition of Western Sahara by the US will open the door for the majority of the world to follow the same, therefore hindering the political process initiated and promised BY the United Nations

now the question is why now? What prompted the United States in the last few months to push normalization deals between UAE, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco with Israel.
Could it be that the US is building a coalition of Anti Iran countries to end the Iranian nuclear program?

Morocco will get US recognition, Israel gets a normalization with Morocco, and the US gets? Is it money, a coalition or Trump ego?
The US will also open a consulate in Dakhla, Western Sahara city.
