/ Here's a good explanation by @gtconway3d of why the suit that Texas filed in #SCOTUS to try and overturn the results of the 2020 election is all hat, no cattle.

/ "There’s no reason to believe the Supreme Court... will entertain this one. It considers [its] 'original' jurisdiction—its power to act as the first court to hear a case, and not on appeal—to be discretionary. And it exercises that discretion sparingly."
/ "And what relief does the Texas suit seek? For the court to declare that the 62 electoral votes of Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan and Wisconsin 'cannot be counted.' That’s a quote."
/ Texas v. Pennsylvania has been fun for legal nerds and #appellatetwitter types because we get to nerd out over the rarely invoked "original jurisdiction" of #SCOTUS.

But the case itself is a bit of a dud -- to put it charitably.
