1. Sex is why we’re oppressed, Gender is how.

If you read the history of misogyny, you’ll see that in most cultures misogyny originates as the “necessary” hate, to enable the exploitation of femaleness, without conscience or resistance. https://twitter.com/tha__khaleesi/status/1337158297393238016
2. The ancient Greeks created a metaphorical myth for the uterus which we now know as the Pandora’s box of evil. Periods in many cultures where tagged unclean and for that femaleness is an inherently evil trait in need of redemption through child birth or lack of.
3. Myths upon myths were created to justify the “need” to control and own female bodies, even if it meant dehumanizing those who owned these bodies.
4. To exploit femaleness requires that female people be controlled. To control female people with no guilt and with absolute effect, you need to pretend they are less than and unworthy of autonomy.
5. Gender is the mechanism of that control. It is the socio cultural roles and differences that women and men must play to maintain women’s subordination.

This is why gender has changed through different cultures and time, morphing and changing to adapt to required control needs
They say we are not dominant & gritty or allowed to be, so that we don’t fight back or advance our position in society.

...But we are allowed to be very gritty for childbirth, hiding our pain/oppression and serving men.
We’re expected to be kind and caring towards others to the point of loosing as much rightful selfishness and sense of self preservation as possible.

We are instilled a fear of not “emasculating” men, so that our subjugation becomes our duty to uphold.
They say we must be sexually “pure”, just so that men don’t lose sleep wondering if their biological children are theirs

They objectify us, so that men believe we exist for sexual & reproductive conquest & possession

Misogyny exists because the world chose to exploit femaleness
The patriarchy exists because male dominance was and is required for the exploitation of women as a sex class.

Feminism is the struggle, movement and fight, to liberate women as a sex class.
This is why until recently, feminists have despised the construct of gender; the very mechanism of our oppression.
