Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery MBBS PPL r going on for a strike today putting many crores of people' life at risk.
Reason for strike : Central govt allows Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and SURGERY (BAMS) graduates to perform minor surgeries.

Why would MBBS doctors have any objection against this?
The reason they sya is that the BAMS people aren't trained well, unqualified to perform surgeries.
The reason they sya is that the BAMS people aren't trained well, unqualified to perform surgeries.
What authority MBBS graduates have on the validity, capabilities of other course graduates? Do they have any copyright on these procedures?
BAMS course has surgery, ENT, Opthalmology in their curriculum. They have hands on training in performing tens of different minor surgeries.
They are trained and attend clinical postings for Anaesthesia too which is required for surgical procedure.
So, who trains the BAMS students in performing minor surgeries?
Answer is MBBS or MS degree holders.
Now MBBS degree holders are protesting that BAMS ppl aren't qualified to perform minor surgeries.
Do you see the irony here?

What are the MBBS ppl protesting against now?
Do they mean that MBBS, MS graduates are incapable, inefficient in teaching students?
Or are they training BAMS students just for the sake of exams?
Or just so that MBBS ppl can earn money teaching them?

These protests by MBBS ppl are just selfish and baseless.
They are afraid of the loss of their importance, jobs and demi God like treatment.

The color coating given by MBBS ppl is that they are protesting for the well being of the society blah blah..
It's all sugar coated words. They are just concerned about their decreasing income.

Hundreds of medical colleges are coming up.
Substandard MBBS graduates are coming out into the market every year. There is immense competition among themselves and now they have to compete against BAMS graduates too.

Hardly 2500 BAMS graduates cme our every year.
Whereas 1,18,316 mbbs graduates come out every year.
Why should tens of lakhs of MBBS graduates fear of these 3000 odd BAMS graduates?

I want to clarify one thing.
Given a choice, I would definitely choose an MBBS graduate to get myself treated over a BAMS graduate.
Given a choice, I would definitely choose an MBBS graduate to get myself treated over a BAMS graduate.
My point is, why would MBBS graduates have problem with their BAMS counter parts who were taught and trained by them?
If they aren't allowed to practice what they have learner, what is the purpose of the course? Why should they spend 4 and half years of their life studying the course which doesn't allow them to apply their skills?
On a similar but much more terrible note, National Medical Commission also ammended their rules that post graduates in http://M.Sc Medical Microbiology and Pharmacology are no longer eligible to teach in medical colleges which is an imbecile decision.
For the past 4 decades, http://M.Sc Anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology and pharmacology graduates taught and trained lakhs of MBBS and hundreds of MD students.
http://M.Sc degree holders are far superior in the subject knowledge when compared to MBBS graduates because MSc ppl are specialized in a single subject whereas mbbs are jack of all trades and master of none.
The http://m.sc course curriculum is on par with MD course in the respective subject and the examination, course duration is also of same pattern.
Who trained these MSc ppl? Again the answer is MBBS and MD ppl.
Now the same ppl are saying that MSc ppl are ineligible to teach or sign lab reports.
Somehow these ppl have problem with every other course person.
Knowledge isn't an object to claim exclusive rights

Every student joins in a course with jib opportunities in mind. The government structured these courses keeping everything in mind. Why these sudden U turns by the regulatory bodies?
Why don't they gibe a thought to the employment of already passed out graduates?

@EduMinOfIndia @MoHFW_INDIA @ugc_india prepares courses, curriculum asks students to join.
And @NMC_IND says these students aren't eligible to practice, not fit for jobs.
All this happening under the watch of @PMOIndia @narendramodi @drharshvardhan . You are answerable sir.

Our respected public representatives say one thing in the teme of democracy the Parliament and the @NMC_IND frames rules exactly opposite to what the public representatives say.
Thousands of Medical http://M.sc graduates are at the verge of loosing their jobs due to the less thoughtful decision taken by @NMC_IND
When MBBS, MD graduates are unaware of what PCR is, it is http://M.Sc ppl who threw themselves in the frontline risking their lives for diagnoing #COVID19
Even now, majority of MD ppl are unaware of interpreting a quantitative Rt-PCR report but they are first in line to sign in the report as "authorised signatory"
A mere degree doesn't guarantee someone of being knowledgeable.
As person who has been teaching in medical colleges for the past decade, I have seen close to 2000 mbbs students passing out. Majority doesn't know to insert a catheter, canula.

It is time to show these so called Demi gods their true face in the mirror.
These MBBS, MD ppl doesn't even accept the report of a clinical laboratory other than the lab in their own hospital premises! Money, money money. They demand to buy medicine in their own pharmacy
