authors note ; this may not help everybody, but i hope it can help you . these are techniques i personally learned to stop panic attacks
are you sitting / laying down?
if you said no , find somewhere to ground yourself. somewhere you can be completely stable and in control of your body.
can you breath ?
if you said no , follow along with this gif until you feel more in control of your breathing.
look around wherever you are. find one red object, one blue object and one black object for me
did you find them ?
close your eyes and touch whatever's around you. try to envision the texture.
did you envision the texture ?
imagine you are in your safe place right now. your own space. no one can touch you here.
you are safe. no one can hurt you. i promise you. nothing is wrong. you are alive and breathing. you are okay.
do you smell anything ? if you smell more than one thing , try to pick out a couple scents you recognize.
