Hear me out: teaching like this stinks. I cannot be the teacher I want to be, I cannot be the nerd I want to be, I cannot be the mentor I want to be, but I am a pathological optimist so here are the positives (a thread) #RemoteTeaching
I am making a huge data base of online quizzes that can self grade and help kids in the future, I have done evening review sessions via zoom, I have laser focused on the patterns and essential elements of the science curriculum. #remoteteaching
I used to read and answer emails in the morning...now I have made that time for ME. I have never fully dedicated time for me. This routine has been good. I wake up, drink coffee, read, and go for a run. No emails, no work. #RemoteLearning #RemoteTeaching.
And finally, I am starting to accept that I am doing my best, my students are doing their best, and my student’s parents are doing their best.
