Just saw a flier for a Trump rally in Kansas City urging people to bring flags & pitchforks. True confession. Pitchforks. I wonder what Malcolm X would've said about that? Or to use an example from formal literature, let's look @ Sterling A. Brown's poem "Slim In Hell." 1/

The fact that so few of these black writings are known widely, and that so many of them demonstrate precisely how right-wingers think and, more broadly, how this political economy operates suggests that we can learn much more from them that we have imagined. We need new methods.
