personally i hope ricky's arc ends with him going back to oath of redemption or switching to oath of glory. though i love oath of redemption and it's a great fit for ricky "my days of heroism are over" matsui, i think there is something delicious about ricky going back to oath of

devotion, because it would symbolically show that he, ricky matsui, was the hero; his heroism wasn't his firefighter status or the questing blade, but him all along.

at the same time, though i usually hate the oath of glory paladin, i definitely think ricky's arc has the potential to become "it's okay to want to be the hero. it's okay to want attention. it's okay to want to be the chosen one." and oath of glory would be a GREAT way to do that

i think ricky learning that it's not selfish to want to be The HeroTM as long as you still are devoted to helping people would be a great arc for him. oath of glory ricky matsui.
