Here is a thought that I would like to share with the $HEX community. And it may appear to be slightly controversial, because it is. It is a actually a dilemma. Lets go: Talking about #HEX from a dedicated Hexican Twitter account often feels like... (Thread)
... it is overengineered and not organic. The Hexican space force is ready to sacrifice their accounts defending the honor of the project and everyone knows that who has ever been engaged by it in any corner of the Twitter universe.
But people are not all ignorant. They will sense a certain intent and they will feel being sold to when information comes straight from a $HEX branded Twitter account tweeing about HEX. Especially if they hear the standard phrases from the website or straight out of the RH stream
I still see very few #Hexicans using Twitter accounts that have something to lose. And I understand. It is really hard to speak about a project that has been discussed from a controversial angle. I faced some critical voices when using my account that is being followed...
by the #Decentraland community. What is important, however, is that when I say something neutral and objective about the project it has a different effect that when you say it from a @Ilovehexx account because there is smth to lose. It is more real for people. I would like...
... to see the $HEX community to continue to evolve to a more organic community with more real identities, or at least identities not specfically designed for promoting #HEX. This will have much more leverage outside our community. Food for thought...
It will soon be time for us to evolve to the next stage of community. This is why I am putting this thought outthere. This is my way of supporting this evolution, even if for some of you this might feel weird.
I will be using my account to communicate about my passion for #Decentraland But at the same time I have over 100 people who followed me from the #HEX community. If you feel that my tweets are not interesting to you, I would not feel offended if you unfollow...
... and of course I would prefer to keep you and maybe even introduce you to #Decentraland. Maybe we could event build a HEX community in #Decentraland and have an HQ or something. Peace #Hexicans.
