Berkeley’s first new bike blvd “diverter” in a while, along 9th St at Cedar, is... interesting. Very low profile due to the fire station access needs on the corner, so we’ll have to see how it works. Installed as part of routine paving on Cedar. #TheSmoothening

Also new pavement & bike lane striping on Center St in Berkeley from Milvia to Shattuck, some green paint yet to be added. The city looked into adding a protected bikeway here, but opted out in order to maintain curbside parking in front of the parking garage. #TheSmoothening
