It may seem ridiculous, but I'm starting to feel that the epilepsy and DMCA issues with Cyberpunk represent such a profound lack of care or foresight that it treads into the territory of moral negligence. Let's take the Brain Dance sequence for example 1/5
The sequence seems to be designed after or at least inspired by devices that trigger epilepsy, representing the first time I can think of where a videogame has essentially tried to punch millions of people through the screen. 2/5
On top of that, if you streamed it, the DMCA/copyrighted song toggle doesn't work, so while you suffer from said seizure you may in fact receive a live DMCA takedown and, if streaming is your profession, lose your job. 3/5
Ironically their attempt to use said toggle makes it worse. If we knew the game had licensed music and there was no toggle, most folks would turn off the music anyway. But instead they were told it was safe. 4/5
It makes my feel like the game is trying to trick me into losing my job, and were I happen to have epilepsy, literally beat me up at work to boot, prior to me getting fired.
