[39th Thread: Refutation of a Fabricated narration]
READ WITH OPEN MIND

This thread is a critical analysis of 3 Hadiths given in Sahih al Bukhari on the alleged proposal of Imam Ali to the daughter of abu jahl.
The drama began from this tweet.
https://twitter.com/AbdelbarrMuham1/status/1336638909263073285?s=20
1/
The proponents of these Hadiths brought these 2 articles as a defence where the scholars tried to explain these Hadiths.
However, the explanation is irrelevant when these Hadiths are problematic in both Sanad/chain & Matn/text

The Hadiths under discussion are these 3(images).

SANAD/CHAIN
The primary narrator of these Hadiths is Miswar bin makhramah.

The shocking fact is Rasulullah had mentioned the proposal from the mimbar yet not a single sahabi had narrated this event except miswar
Why?
3/
Miswar seemed to hold malice against Imam Ali as he's a follower of all his opponents.
Abdullah bin Zubayr , Mu'awiya & Khawarij.

1. Bin Zubayr didn't use to mention about Rasulullah in his sermons.

2. Khawarij used to impersonate miswar

3. Mentioning Mu'awiya in his Salah
4/
MATN/TEXT
Before I indulge into the text of these Hadiths, lemme mention that Miswar was born 2 years after Hijrah of Rasulallah to Medina.[see images for proof]

This event took in 8/9th hijrah, that is he's a child of 6 years old when this event occured.
5/
Then how come he can have "wet dreams!?" As the Hadith says محتلم(puberty;when a man start having wet dreams)

Ibn Hajr, after he couldnt solve this riddle, came to rescue & interpreted الاحتلام/puberty as discernment.

PROBLEM WITH IBN HAJR JUSTIFICATION
1. This justufication
6/
contradicts the Arabic lang & customary usage & won't be accepted by intellectuals of the society.

2. Even if we accept this justufication, problem is Miswar couldn't even understand basic issues like "concealing his private parts as narrated in Sahih Muslim.

QURAN
7/
The hadiths contradicts where the permissibility of multiple wives is allowed.
{...then marry such women as seem good to you, two and three and four;...}[4:3]

How can Rasulallah prohibit something which is permitted by Allah?
Some may argue that he said he's not changing
8/
Halal to Haraam.
But he's doing just that!!!

HADITH WHICH CONTRADICTS QURAN

Rasulallah himself mentioned any Hadith which contradicts Qur'an is not from 'me' or footsteps of shaytan.

So, how come one can accept such a Hadith?
Some may try to explain it. So let's see...
9/
CONTRARY TO HISTORY

(I)- abu jahl daughter
Juwayriya was the daughter here but interestingly she wasn't a Muslim before (Fateh al Makkah -conquest of Makkah) & accepted Islam on the day along with pleading allegiance.

(II)- She was already married
Juwayriya was already
10/
married to 'itaab. He's the leader of Makkah back then when it came under the conquest of Rasulallah.

(III)-SHE DIDN'T ACCEPT BY HEART
The Makkans who accepted Islam after conquest of Makkah are called الطلقاء/the freed. Yet she praised her father - abu jahl - when Bilal was
11/
given Adhan.

How can Imam Ali after having Sayeda Fatima as his wife would accept such a woman?

(IV)- GRUDGE AGAINST HER FATHER KILLER
Imam Ali was among the ones who killed abu jahl in Badr & she said that she's grudge against those who killed her fathar.

So marriage!!!?
12/
TOGETHERNESS
The hadith stated Rasulullah saying that he didn't want to prohibit a legal act but was only against the togetherness of Sayeda Fatima & juwayriya.
But surprisingly this wasn't the first case so how come he didn't allow this time but earlier permitted it!!?
13/
THE CASE OF UTHMAN
This wasn't the first that Rasulallah son-in-law was having both his daughter & a daughter.
Uthman was married to Ruqayya & also to Ramla bin shu'ba who migrated to Medina along with his other wife(Ruqayya).

So why Rasulullah prohibited it for Imam Ali???
14/
EXPLANATION OF SCHOLARS

A. Ibn at-Teen
Below is his explanation.

Res :-
1. The marriage of uthman wouldn't hurt Rasulallah while both mughayra & abu jahl were leaders among quraysh, kuffar & killed at Badr.

2. Does feeling have any importance when it defy a permissible act 15/
And if the feeling has any importance then why Allah has admonished him in the incident of Maghafīr; when below verse was revealed.

B. Ibn qayyim
Ibn qayyim completely lost the plot. He suggested that Imam Ali should learn to keep a promise from abul 'Aas.

WHAT!!!
15/
Imam Ali was brought up by Rasulullah & then he's to learn how to keep a promise from a polytheist!!!

C. Scholars have conjectured that Sayeda Fatima would feel jealousy & it might have caused her difficult to fulfil her religious obligations.
Like ibn Hajr 👇

How about
16/
Rasulallah marrying Umm al Habihah who was daughter of abu sufyan, the most arch-enemy of Rasulullah while he'd 4 other wives besides her. Regardless of any reason if such an event had happened, how could he stop Imam Ali from doing 2nd marriage, if such a story has occured.
16/
some may argue & says Rasulullah didn't prohibit Imam Ali from marrying 2nd wife but abu jahl daughter.

Res :- What difference does it make in the ruling when feelings don't work as espoused by [66:1]& Uthman case where Rasulullah didn't get bothered.

RASULALLAH CHARACTER
17/
Rasulallah whose character was praised by Qur'an,
إن لعلى خلق عظيم.
would abused Imam Ali, announced a personal matter in public & show contempt towards juwayriya by calling her father as 'enemy of God' while he forbade ppl not to abuse abu jahl when ikramah became Muslim 👇
18/
CONCLUSION

1. Degrade the character of Rasulallah, Imam Ali & Sayeda Fatima

2. Miswar narrated it to Ali bin Husayn after 53 years?
Nor any sahabi mentioned it.

2. Age issue

3. Contradicts Quran

4. She's already married
5. Togetherness was possible lile in Uthman case.

!!!
This is how hadith criticism is done especially when a narration degrade Rasulullah personality.

Since you guys were defending this baseless narration, here's a critique of it. Take it to your scholars and refute it....
