WITCH HAT ATELIER: an introduction thread (spoiler free!)

⃤ ･ﾟ✧ this will not be super in - depth but will go over the plot, characters, and general information about the manga!

BASICS:
⃤ ･ﾟ✧ Witch Hat Atelier / Tongari Bōshi no Atorie is a manga created by Kamome Shirahama ( @shirahamakamome ) and published by Kodansha
⃤ ･ﾟ✧ I believe there are 41 chapter translated at the moment.

ART:
⃤ ･ﾟ✧ absolutely incredible! Has a charming and magical storybook feel to it + the character designs are unique and well done!

PLOT:
⃤ ･ﾟ✧ This is a story about witches and magic. The secrets of magic are kept out of the public eye, and witches are born to witch families. A young girl Coco who’s always been enamored by magic, gets wrapped up in the world of witches by an unfortunate event.

MAGIC:
Magic is drawn in three parts. Using conjuring ink a series of complex runes are ascribed for different magical effects.

POINTED HAT WITCHES:
⃤ ･ﾟ✧ The general community of witches, those who practice and abide by magic law. They are regulated by the magic security council.

BRIMMED - HAT GROUP:
⃤ ･ﾟ✧ aka ‘Brimhats’ an organization of witches who practice illegal magic, specifically that effects the human body, and wants to bring forbidden magic into general use. Their hat brims obscure their faces.

CHARACTERS:

COCO:

☆ Super enthusiastic about magic and very hard working
☆ heart of gold, kind, a bit clumsy
☆ i believe in her

AGOTT:
☆ cold as ice, can have a fiery temper
☆ a bit stuck up and has some family issues
☆ she gets better though, i appreciate her
☆ that good good character development!

TETIA:
☆ super cute pink ball of fun!
☆ she’s bubbly, excitable and innovative
☆ admits to her mistakes and wrong doings
☆ i love her, daughter

RICHEH:
☆ stoic, deadpan, and a snarker
☆ she’s a very interesting character has a great arc
☆ also has family issues, she’s guarded but cares a lot ;;

☆ he’s a wonderful mentor and cares about his students!
