You cannot coherently claim X is unjust, and then prescribe X as a remedy. If X is unjust to begin with (e.g. killing innocents, not giving what is due, race-based discrimination), more of *that same thing* simply compounds the injustice.
Just penalties for injustice go to the perpetrators of injustice. It is no remedy to injustice, to wronging one innocent, to wrong another, making *them* pay. Remedy may be due. But it cannot come at the price of injustice. Otherwise the cycle of injustice spirals forever.
