Y do ppl say writing TV comedy is hard? Literally all u need to do is create an A, B, C plot that intertwine/compliment/support one another w/likable/original but relatable characters who are motivated by things you can't mention and also set up a world but get to the hook ASAP.
Sick of ppl complaining about how hard it is. Like what's not to get??
Make the scenes/characters all hilarious, heartfelt, unique and not cliche.
Make the scene about what it is about but don't make it look like it is about what it is supposed to be about.
Set it all up without setting any of it up. No one likes too much set up
Be clear with what it is about WE NEED TO KNOW WHAT IT IS ABOUT (but also, do not I repeat do not tell them what it is about through the words you write).
Have season 2, 3 and 4 mapped out. Know each of your characters arcs, downfalls and what they'd wear to a naked bowling alley in the middle of Essex.
Several gags per page... Driven by the character not plot... Action must be kept to a minimum... But we must know where we are and what the place looks like at all times. Also above all of this focus on the relationships (but also everything else is just as important)
And keep it to 30 pages. Seriously why r u moaning.
Improvisers do all of this without literally NO planning whatsoever. Please stop crying about it.
