“I’m a small content creator, I don’t know how to go on about getting games to review.”

👋 Hi, hope this thread can help! So first, stop calling yourself a ‘small content creator’. You are a content creator. Make sure when you are reaching out for a review key (1/7)
that you are confident and you know what you can bring to the table in your stream. There is plenty of sites to request keys (Such as keymailer, terminal, etc) which PLEASE submit reviews when you request a key. It’s not just a free game, it’s a review key for a reason. (2/7)
If the game you want to review is not on these sites, head to the dev or publisher’s website and find the contact or F.A.Q. section until you find either a “Content Creator email” or the general email. (3/7)
For this email, if you are messaging a general email, make sure to mention you want this email to be addressed to the person who might be handling creators review keys (most companies will help in sending you the right direction!) (4/7)
And please be professional and respectful sending these emails. Even if it’s a young person behind that email, this is still their job. Make a great impression, not the first time but ALWAYS. This is how companies will like to work with you for upcoming things. (5/7)
Now, email part: If you don’t have a media deck (a graphic that shows at your current stats, numbers, other achievements, etc) if you have the ability to make one or hire someone to do so, please do. These are very helpful. If you are unable to do either, know your numbers. (6/7)
Tell them briefly about you as a content creator, your community, your stream, your numbers, socials. KEEP THIS BRIEF. They don’t need to know what your whole life story on why you like games. Mention why this game would be a great game to cover & share with your community! (7/7)
AND make sure overall this, that you have your streaming stuff & brand going. For professional reasons, “WeedMan42069” might be funny to you, but companies could think otherwise 🙂 Take this thread advice if you’d like. It’s worked for me & many others, so I hope it can help you!
