I commend and praise @lawrencewasden and the Idaho Attorney General’s office for the very wise decisions they have recently made not to join the Texas lawsuit seeking to challenge other states’ elections which is at least unprecedented, if not frivolous, and would be a waste of
Idaho tax dollars and an unneeded distraction during a time Idaho is breaking new records of cases and deaths related to COVID and the decision to join the antitrust lawsuit against FaceBook which seems to have great merit, while FB’s public response in defense does not.
In a time of frivolous lawsuits and irresponsible government spending across the country, it is a great testimony to the fiscal responsibility, the care and exercise of discretion that has been repeatedly demonstrated by @lawrencewasden and his team of dedicated legal
professionals. Keep in mind this is not faint praise coming from me. First, i am an attorney and I understand these legal issues. Second, I have been on the other side of the courtroom in a challenge from the AG, which was not a fun time and we fought vigorously in that case. But
through it all, even during the case and even as I continued to meet with @lawrencewasden long after that case was over, @lawrencewasden demonstrated his professionalism and his absolute commitment to doing what he believed was right for Idahoans. What I miss in today’s politics
is the ability for two parties to vigorously disagree with each other (which we did), but to express those disagreements respectfully without making it personal (which we did) and then getting together long after to continue to address other issues that would help Idahoans after
our disagreements were settled with mutual respect and a willingness to work together. There is a lot our political leaders across the country could learn from @lawrencewasden. Well done.
