đź’‰ two 30-ÎĽg doses of vaccine, administered intramuscularly 21 days apart!
đź’‰ Adverse event data through approximately 14 weeks after the second dose are included in the paper. Collected upto 6 months after the vaccine!
💉 side effect of general reactogenicity mainly headache/ fatigue/ fever —less common and milder in older adults than in younger adults.
đź’‰ These side effects were more common and severe after the 2nd dose than after the 1st one.
Severe fatigue was observed in approximately 4%
đź’‰ Overall, side effects were transient and resolved within a couple of days after onset.
đź’‰ Lymphadenopathy( swollen lymph nodes) resolved within 10 days, probably from vaccine-elicited immune response.

Most importantly—
95% efficacy!
Trial was not designed to tell us how effective the vaccine was after first dose only but , in the interval between the first and second doses, the observed vaccine efficacy against Covid-19 was 52%, and in the first 7 days after dose 2, it was 91%,
After 7 days of second dose— patients were at the best vaccine efficacy to fight against the virus. Which will mean after taking the vaccine one has to wait almost a month to get 95% against the virus! Not bad at all!

I cannot wait to get it! #HCW4vaccine #VaccinesWork
