IMHO
POTUS gauging level of support from multiple sources. Since at least half the country is joining lawsuit, rejects election results, and resisting, he may be feeling out states' top lawyers in case he decides to invoke...you know.

-MO, MS, AR, SC, UT, LA file as "co-plantiffs".
-This different than an amicus brief.
-Action makes them full parties in the lawsuit.
This is all a result of President Trump and Professor Eastman working behind the scenes.
