Addressing #GBV must be carried out in ways that underline the expertise of women-led, community-led initiatives that work from a place of lived experience. #WomensOrg #CanFem #EndVAW

And law enforcement agencies in every province and territory are rooted in Canada’s colonial history and long-standing sexist, racist, and ableist power imbalances. Those who are most affected must lead community-based accountability and oversight of the police.
