It’s time I wrote an exposé of the “TERFS”. In black&white from an inside woman here - finally- is the TRUTH about women at the heart of what has been called the terf industrial complex. This is who they are&who they support.This is who activists are tirelessly fighting against:
Some of them are victims of male violence,so they are trying to support victims of male violence such as the (mainly) indigenous women whose rape shelter has been targeted for being a female only space. (Vancouver Rape Relief).

Some of them are ex prison officials or just women who care about vulnerable female prisoners and want to protect them from the rape and assault that is/will be a consequence of self ID

Some of them are detransitioners who have found transition isn't always the answer and who want to protect young people from unnecessary medicalisation. For example:

Some are detrans women who have discovered, to their horror, that transwomen in the trans community can still commit male violence against others

Some of them are nurses raising concerns about the importance of single sex wards. Something we already know is imperative for women’s safety in hospitals.

Some of them are working at domestic violence shelters and are frightened by what is happening there when any male who calls themselves a woman can be allowed access to vulnerable women

Some of them are mothers and want everyone's children to be safe in public spaces and therefore don't trust self-ID

Some of them are writers and have seen how easily women are rewritten and reduced to mere body parts, over and over again in the name of an inclusion that excludes them entirely

Some of them are doctors raising concerns that ought to shock anybody. Such as:

Some of them are lesbians and see the inherent homophobia being aimed at them and gay men by the left and trans activists particularly:

Some of them are vulnerable women in the community who don't ever want to be strip searched by a male if they are arrested and aren’t sure they can trust police forces who don’t know what biological sex is.

Some of them are women who know the value of having at least some female only spaces in society and have discovered they will be punished for that need, such as the women who attended Michfest via intimidation and flyers like these...
Some of them are women who recognise misogyny (there are so many examples of this that it’s astonishing. Here, for example, is areporter at the daily dot,as well as a link to more. Exist as a woman in gender conversations&expect the deluge of horror).

(And many are women who notice that you only have to be female & non compliant in any way to get called a “terf”. So when people see threats of violence and misogyny against “terfs” the best way to understand what’s happening is to simply substitute the word “terfs” for “women”)
And who are the allies of these women?
Who are their bedfellows?
Is it, as their opponents sometimes allege, the Christian rightwing funding their fight for women and gay rights?

Their allies, too, are every person who reads this and sees just how much damage is being done by a purported attempt to fight for civil rights that in reality is severely harming other groups and not helping the one group it tries to stand for.
So you can see why all these women are so dangerous that newspapers and magazines keep writing disparaging pieces about them and institutions, governments, celebrities & politicians often ignore and malign them.
You can see too why many people, and perhaps particularly transwomen and their male allies, must so bravely stand against them and for good measure threaten them with harm to help keep them, and their dangerous demands for respect, in their place!
