Our young people sent a letter to @MassGovernor urging him to hear their voice and sign S.2963. An excerpt:

We know we are young people working at a bookstore at MTW, but we are as important as any other constituency group.

@cfjjma @RepLizMiranda @AyannaPressley @DARollins
This is important to us because we have been in the position to feel the impact of police officers who abuse their power and where justice is not served. This bill is a great START in the right direction- it is not the end. We are the people this bill is intended to protect.
To prevent more young people from being unjustly treated by the system, we need this bill to pass. The police have extensive protection in place. We do not. They are supposed to be protecting us.
As much as police want to protect their lives and fear for their lives, welcome to our lives—we fear every day for our lives. Youth like us have been backed against the walls of injustice for ages. This bill is the first brick to be removed from that wall.
