When low-income racialized people say they don't trust the #COVID19 vaccine, they aren't being irrational.

Our government put them in danger during this pandemic by failing to provide paid sick days, income supports & better transit.

So why would they trust the government now?

For the record I am very much pro-vaccine! For those replying and saying otherwise, you are missing the POINT. Distrust of the medical system by marginalized populations is a VERY real issue. We must critically look at why distrust exists, systemic racism is part of our history.

We will only achieve success if we have targeted comms for BIPOC, if we empower BIPOC voices in mass media to help build trust with BIPOC & if we equip community health workers who already have trust within these communities. We will have #COVID19 success if we focus on TRUST .
