Presence of bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome and/or biceps tendon rupture is highly predictive of ATTR-CA in both general population and hypertrophic phenotype subgroup
@Cappellifrance2 @IacopoOlivotto @Cardioinfo_it
https://doi.org/10.1111/joim.13200
ATTR-CA patients have at least one upper limb tenosynovial involvement in 82% of cases
Bilateral CTS have a positive predictive value of 96% in the whole population and 98% in the hypertrophic phenotype subgroup.
Biceps tendon rupture has a PPV of 89% in the whole population and 99% in the hypertrophic subgroup
Carpal tunnel syndrome, biceps tendon rupture or both are associated with a X24 and X 41 fold increase in likelihood of ATTR-CA respectively in the whole population and hypertrophic phenotype subgroup
