Sadly I have been hospitalized today (seems to be nothing critital) and thus cannot participate in the #SAPTechEd #Devtoberfest winner celebration. Thus, I just want to share my thoughts on Twitter. A thread: (1/7)
Being voted and named a winner by the @SAPCommunity of course makes me a little proud, but I think #Devtoberfest has been much more than a competition and everyone, who has been participating, basically is a winner! (2/7)
#Devtoberfest been great for all @SAPdevs, because there has been so much to learn during the enablement sessions and while participating in the open-source projects. Personally, I have learned quite a lot about the #sapcap internals, GitHub and lots of other things. (3/7)
#Devtoberfest has also been great to get in contact with some awesome people in the @SAPCommunity that share the same passion for SAP tools. It’s been a pleasure to work with @wolf_gregor, @vobu, @david_sooter and others and I also learned a lot from them as well. (4/7)
#Devtoberfest also has been a great platform to promote all participating open-source projects in a way, none of us maintainers could have done. @SAP promoting the projects, even on #SAPTechEd, has brought much more attention to the projects to a much wider audience. (5/7)
And finally, also #SAP is a winner, as they support building an active ecosystem around their tools, which will attract new users and developers. I think I am a good example and there are many others out there. (6/7)
So please @SAPdevs and @SAPCommunity (cc: @thomas_jung) make #Devtoberfest a yearly event and keep make everyone a winner. I will most definitely make a run to be one again in #Devtoberfest 2021. (7/7)
