The region of Indus Valley is Defined in Mahabharata and how people lived there.

Mahabharata Says this region of Indus Valley should be avoided because people living here eat meat and even Beef cooked with Garlic

Meat of Hen, Pig, Boar, Cow, Donkey etc. Is eaten there

It says people living in those areas have lost their Dharma, one should never go there

Also it says All of the Indus valley region is अत्यन्त निन्दित, Extremely condemned

Clarification-

IVC was NOT non-Hindu civilization, it was a Hindu civilization originally, but according to MHB "Some" People abandoned Dharma.

The time period of Mahabharata and time period from when these sample is has a gap of a few centuries at least not same time

Apart from some bad people there were good people too, There were 4 Varnas and Dharmik people too.
It was certainly an Arya Civilization with "some" bad people
