Labels and streaming services are not going to voluntarily try and change anything.. they are making so much money why would they? The only possible way forward is by our government to introduce some kind of regulatory framework to protect people’s ability to make a living.
In 2014 we spoke up about this and got the weirdest reaction.. mainly abuse. Very disheartening and very depressing. But obviously no one wants to bite the hand that feeds.. I salute @MrTomGray @Guy_Garvey and all that are bringing awareness.. #BrokenRecord
Put it like this.. You like ice cream? 10 quid a month and you get all you can eat... I hope you like vanilla - it’s all we got. Not a problem now.. but do you miss the nice pistachio gelato you had on holiday..? No one can make that anymore.. Too expensive.. more vanilla?
