I can't help but think that the devastation the Tories have wrought over the last decade, and how much of the last year has been marred by corruption and scandal, is responsible for a significant chunk of covid vaccine scepticism
I'm seeing people who I wouldn't usually expect to be anti-vax saying they won't take it because they don't trust the speed at which it was developed (explainable), the fact that Britain is rolling it out 'first' (explainable) and the fact that the *Tories* are the ones doing it
That last part is harder imo. Its a rare case of public and private interests being aligned, but that would also be true of the conservative's *entire handling* of the *whole thing*, and yet
I don't know how to convince my mum, for example, who is vaccinated, and has vaccinated me and all my siblings as children, that *this* vaccine is also safe and important.
