no bts collab will ever go smoothly for fans bc yall have created this weird scale of morality and acceptance and over-investment. Its bad if someone doesnt talk about bts enough its bad if they talk too much its bad if they talk to fans its bad if they don’t associate. If they’re
nice and engaging fans over-invest and stay in their comments but the artist is a clout chaser if they engage. But they’re also clout chasers if they do the collab and move on. As much as collabs are about making good music theyre about cross promo yet yall dont want the other
artist to do any promo for themselves. We know if these artists get interviewed theyre going to be asked about bts multi times yet if they dont give deep answers theyre fake but if they talk too much theyre weird. Then they do something we dont like and it becomes a witch-hunt to
decide their scale of morality and everyone turns en masse to find every problematic thing theyve done. In the end we dont need to be that invested and dont need to know everything these artists have done in their past. Listen and go, dont associate, or become a fan if you want.
And I want to note that I am not at all saying that ppl should ignore problematic behavior or they aren’t well within their rights to not want to support or associate with an artist who has done something offensive.
The issue to me is fans thinking they can decide the depth of professional and personal relationships and connections between bts and other artists as if they’re protecting bts from their own choices. What you consume is your right and business.
