Debunking this myth that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had a project in mind when he became the manager at Manchester United.

In this thread I will show how all his signings contradict everything he supposedly saus he is building.

#OleOut
We will start by looking into the window of summer 2019 where he brought 3 players that were :-
1. Harry Maguire - £80 Million
2. Aaron Wan Bissaka - £50 Million
3. Daniel James - £20 Million
Harry Maguire - Lets start with the marquee signing of the first window of the 'REBUILD' of Manchester United under Ole. In the previous season he used a CB partnership of Smalling and Lindelof which albeit lacked quality but were complementary to each other till a certain extent
At the end of that season he knew that he wanted a CB to partner Lindelof rather than Smalling as the latter was getting older and had been an unpopular figure at OT. So who was his favourite CB to bring at OT, Harry Maguire - a CB with no pace at all.
Since he has joined the club he has looked like a £10 million defender. Also Ole wants to play a high line he has two slow CB's and people say he knows what he is doing. LOL. He has made countless errors in decisive games and has proven to be a relegation standard CB.
What's even worse is the fact is that he got the captaincy of MANCHESTER UNITED. For basically doing nothing. For conceding 29 goals in the league before his appointment as a captain. He has captained man united in 3SF losses and has captained the side in the decisive game in GS.

Aaron Wan Bissaka - In the previous seasons the RB options at Man United were , Darmian, Valencia and Young so it was obvious that we needed a RB, so who does Ole get ? AWB for £50 million.
A player with no ability on the ball.
His positioning is absolutely terrible and this has been highlighted this season with the amount of chances that are created by the opposition because of his lack of awareness about his backpost. Even in a back-5 he was narrow and almost at the penalty spot for RBL'Ss first goal.
Ole once said that he wants his fullbacks to score goals and have assists and create chances so he buys a RB who only knows how to slide tackle and his ability on the ball is absolutely non existent. Yeah but some will say he is building something.

Daniel James - Can somebody tell me what does he offer to this team ? Nothing. A player who had 4 goals in the championship in a team that finished 14th. You have to consider that the championship had players like Buendia, Cantwell, Grealish etc but who did he go for ? JAMES.
This was his first transfer window where he spent approx £145-150 million on players that were opposite to what he was telling people his philosophy is all about. All these players are now a liability in the squad atm. None of them are good enough for the club.
The only transfer that made sense under his reign was the signing of Sporting CP midfielder Bruno Fernandes for £50 million. A player who this side has eventually becom over dependent on.
Now we look into his signings of the window of summer 2020 :-
1. Donny Van de Beek - £40 Million
2. Alex Telles - £14 Million
3. Edinson Cavani - £0 Million
Donny Van de Beek - A player of high regards at Ajax with some of the best teams and managers wanting him. But Man United were fortunate because of COVID that a deal with Real Madrid and Ajax was agreed informally in January 2020, broke down.
A player excellent in possession and keeps the ball moving and is a very creative link between attack and defence. So where does Ole put him ? ON THE BENCH. A player like McTominay is used more than Van de Beek and the results are showcasing that he is making a huge mistake.
If he doesn't know how to use such a quality player than what is he spending money on ? Yeah but he is "Building Something". A manager is using a player that is championship standard in McTominay over a CL SF reaching midfielder in VDB.
Alex Telles - One of the LB that was highly regarded in Europe was brought for just £14 Million but the real question here is how this signing contradicts the signings Ole has made before. So he brought an attacking LB and a Defensive RB. Make that make sense.
Your fullbacks need to be synchronised in terms of attack and defense. So how does this fullback pairing actually work ? How do you build a defense and an attack with such an imbalanced fullback pairing ?
Edinson Cavani - One of the only player that is a proper number 9, but the real question here is that when he had a 9 in Romelu Lukaku at his dosposal why did he sell him then ? Why did he use him as a RW ? He sold a proper number 9 for £80 Million and signed a 33 YO.
In conclusion all of his signings contradicts of what he preaches about and what he says but people have this false sense of belief that he is building something. He loaned out an "Attacking" RB in Dalot to play AWB, Fosu Mensah and Brandon Williams. Where is the logic ?
If his "Rebuild" was put into an analogy ot would simply be -

The guy is just playing a game of Jenga. On the outside it looks like he is building something but when you understand it, it is the complete opposite. He takes out a piece and puts it in the wrong position.....
and what was seeming to be built will eventually fall.

The sooner he goes the better. All he has built is actually nothing. No point in giving this guy anything as he contradicts what he says.
Pls don't take the spelling mistakes seriously 🙏
