Pulled up in Narrabri last night to make a call. We’ve been conducting community monitoring & citizen science w’shops in #Pilliga forest over the past 2 wks. @nswpolice car w/ flashing lights pulled up behind me & proceeded to conduct what felt like a not so ‘random’ breathtest
It was followed by 2-3 other cars. When RBT returned .0 I was drug tested & my licence checked. Drug test returned neg. I was questioned about why I was in town & who owned the car I was driving. Who is crying wolf & wasting taxpayer resources in this way?
How much did this cost?
✅ up to 4 cars & 6 police personnel
✅ 1 random breath test
✅ 2 drug tests (1 failed COVID precautions)
✅ 15-20 minutes of precious police time
