Every Astros fan recognizes this couple, but many people don't know their names.

This is Larry and Mary.

If you were watching game 6 of the 2019 ALCS, you saw them right before Altuve hit a walk-off home run off of Chapman.
I spoke to them.

Larry has been an Astros fan for life, his fandom has transferred to Mary. They had been to several playoff games that seemed to always go to extra innings.

During this moment, he said they were bracing for another long night but were hoping for the best.
Mary told me that during this moment, she was praying for something to happen. She was saying outloud at the game, "come on, get a hit"

Then the home run happens and all hell breaks loose. People are high-fiving. Yankees fans being quiet. Then their phones started blowing up.
They started receiving calls and texts from friends saying they were on TV. What's funny is several friends who were busy texting photos missed the Altuve home run.

They are from a small town West of Houston, they were the talk of the town after this moment.
Mary told me that she wishes the cameras showed them after the home run, "I was MUCH happier".

People still mention this moment to them all the time, and they were happy to be part of a very incredible moment in Houston history.
