Don’t sit Herbert this week. To put it more passive aggressively, if you’re going to sit Herbert, please don’t let last week be the reason (which leaves no reasons).

Prior to week 13, he only scored less than 20 fantasy points twice, and threw for 300+ in those games.
I’ll get back to Justin in a minute.

We’ve all heard the sound if not cliched advice “don’t chase points”, which basically means looking only at recent fantasy points scored without looking at context can be dangerous and lead to unnecessary disappointment.
Box scores tell a very boring version of the story.

Seems like every week 1 there’s at least 1 relatively unknown player who goes off (usually fueled by TDs). Then some poor sap wastes FAB or priority chasing those points. Or how people will chase Coutee points this week.
In the other direction, the same can be said: don’t run from a lack of points without looking at the context. The Pats under Darth Vader have never lost at home to a rookie QB. The closest anyone came was Deshaun Watson in 2017, when NE edged HOU 36-33.
Not surprisingly, I believe that’s the last time a rookie QB had anything close to top 12 QB fantasy points, as Watson put up 301 2/2 with 41 rushing yards. Other than that, straight dick (that one’s for @DaddysHomeFF). And Watson is Watson, so where does that leave us?
Justin Herbert is a stud who had a very predictable hiccup at Foxborough. Don’t be fooled by how bad the hiccup was in this case.

Herbert gets the Falcons this week, 32nd against QBs. I know ATL stymied Carr in week 12, and maybe they’re slightly better than that 32nd ranking.
Doesn’t matter, Herbert is going to smash this week, don’t be that person who watches it happen on your bench in the first round of the playoffs.
There is a delicious ice cream shop about a mile from my house called Full Tilt. If you’re ever in Seattle, go there. But I don’t want to see any of you Herbert owners in there this weekend. By the way, they have an Horchata flavored ice cream and it’s euphoric.
Good luck!
