Fuck this article honestly.

This thread will do what this article should have done, and *actually* give credit to the young heroes who took on Pornhub and forced change. https://twitter.com/NickKristof/status/1336830193130999810
First, I want to recognize the sex workers who have been speaking out against Pornhub for years, on issues of sexism, piracy, stolen content, CSAM, non-consensual pornography, and more. https://twitter.com/AvriSapir/status/1247283627827826688
@RoseKalemba was one of the first survivors to speak out about her experience having numerous videos of her being violently raped as a 14-year-old shared on Pornhub, who refused to remove the videos for 6 months.
BBC shared her story in February: http://www.bbc.com/news/stories-51391981
I had several tweets go viral speaking about my experience having several videos of me being raped as a toddler in diapers & as a 9-year-old uploaded to Pornhub on numerous occasions, garnering from 600 to 20,000 views.

Sofia is another brave woman who shared her story of surviving child sex trafficking from the age of 9, and had numerous videos of her abuse shared on Pornhub.

She has been missing for several months now. https://medium.com/@A.Sofia/not-alone-945c743b6e42
Serena K. Fleites bravely shared her story with Nicolas Kristof at the New York Times, despite being 19 years old and homeless.
Laila Mickelwait set up a GoFundMe, but the money appears to be going towards Exodus Cry rather than Serena herself. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/12/04/opinion/sunday/pornhub-rape-trafficking.html
This thread barely brushes the surface of the survivors & advocates who've been speaking out against PH for years. We are harassed, threatened, slandered, stalked, attacked.
Survivors & sex workers started this conversation, & any resulting change can ONLY be credited to us.
It's no accident that Kristof, a well-known white guy who writes for the NYT, chose to only name Exodus Cry, a Christian org, & a select few survivors, rather than acknowledge the hard work done by the diverse, vulnerable survivors & sex workers who made his article possible.
