Many Barça fans are worried that Font and Laporta will split the votes, but I am glad that for once Barça has options and two strong candidates instead of one with a monopoly. This is not appreciated enough, but it's the basis for a good democratic system.
It's important that whoever wins continues to be critically observed by all, and I hope that the critics will not lose their energy after the election, as it's usually the case.
This debate is similar to Xavi vs Iniesta or Piqué vs Puyol. Of course, you can have your preferred choice, but this doesn't mean that you have to degrade the other at every opportunity.
In the end both candidates and most fans want the same thing. Do not forget that. It's not the same debate we had about Bartomeu or one of our last coaches. We want the same thing this time. It's just that we trust different people more to achieve this goal.
