because she wholeheartedly sees her presence as a burden that drives people away. It's very tragic to see, but that's exactly what makes her so emotionally resonant. She gets constantly consumed by her depressing thoughts & that's communicated subtly through her

demeanor in the sense that she constantly has a worried face & has a very anxious nature.

The theme of moving past the burdens that you born with & living for a better future by forming genuine bonds is also shouldered brilliantly through her dynamic with Subaru & how he gives her the love that she yearns for & desperately needs, but never asked for because she

doesn't believe that she deserves it
