hey #DisabilityTwitter! i want you to tell me about your idyllic leftist community/society daydreams.

i see lots of anarchist sustainability dreaming about communes and cooperative farming and hand-sewn clothes, and i love that. but i want a version that accounts for disability!
two things stand out to me as being overlooked in those dreams— one, that not everyone can perform that kind of labor (farming, sewing, building, all things DIY) and two, that advanced technology is necessary and has to come from somewhere.
like, where on a commune are we gonna be producing insulin pumps and power chairs and MRI machines? and how do i fit into the community as someone who simply cannot work? i am not going to be the one milking the cows. so what blissful daily life do i daydream about instead?
i’m only about a year into having much disability cognizance or radicalization, & i want to hear from folks who have been thinking about these things for longer than i have. so #NEISVoid, #DisabledAcademics, etc- what are your community dreams?
