the greys characters in their hogwarts houses and my reasonings: a thread

qrt with your opinions
meredith: slytherin

even though she has many gryffindor traits, i think her most poignant characteristics are: loyalty to those close to her (and only them), ambition and determination, stubbornness and being outspoken, a tough exterior which can seem cold and emotionless
alex: slytherin

i considered gryffindor but i looked at the fact that, especially in the early seasons, his moral compass is slightly questionable. besides that, he is cunning and resourceful (seen with how he got into seattle grace), and he is bold and doesn't hold back
george: muggle

in all seriousness, he would potentially be hufflepuff. he's hardworking and sometimes compassionate but, even then, is he caring? is he genuine? is he reliable? no.... so muggle
izzie: hufflepuff

i understand people who say ravenclaw but i see is as hardworking and good hearted. she is passionate and cares deeply. she observed and analyses things more than acting on them. she is witty and creative
cristina: slytherin

i think this is an obvious choice. even though she has strong ravenclaw vibes in some respects, she is career driven, assertive and extremely ambitious. she is selectively loyal. she is usually self-reliant and can be independent but still very charming
bailey: gryffindor

someone said hufflepuff yesterday and i've thought about it lots but i'm sticking with gryffindor. she is honest and open. she is extremely practical. she is stubborn and wilful. she has a strong moral compass and is very fair. young bailey would be hufflepuff
webber: gryffindor

i considered ravenclaw because of his wisdom but didn't think that was enough. he can be chivalrous and try to be a hero. he is also very stubborn and can be proud. he has high levels of determination and problem solving skills
catherine: slytherin

i first thought gryffindor due to her bravery and ambition but i figured her moral compass wasn't strong enough. she is resourceful and cunning. she is very much a natural leader. she can be arrogant and smug but she is very defensive of those close to her
jackson: gryffindor

probably. he acts in a valiant and chivalrous way quite a lot. he is highly competitive and jumps into challenges. he can be stubborn and hotheaded. he has idealistic views but is still suspicious of individuals. main character but bland energy like harry
april: hufflepuff

despite the weasley hair. she is patient and loyal. she is hardworking and determined. she values fairness and is good hearted. overall she is trustworthy and dependable. she can be both indecisive and very whiny.
arizona: hufflepuff

she is fair and patient for the most part. she is tolerant, compassionate and kind which is evident in her specialty. she can be dependant on others. her cheating was out of character and shocked so many because she's usually extremely loyal
calliope: ravenclaw

i struggled with callie because her personality is so complex and intricate. individuality is a strong trait of ravenclaw so it fits! i think she's super intelligent and has a sharp, witty sense of humour. she is accepting and creative
addison: slytherin

i've been told my opinion might change when i watch private practice but i'm going with this for now. also i'm a biased slytherin. she's sassy and truthful, super talented and ambitious. she is a strong, self-reliant leader. she has a cunning sense of humour
derek: slytherin

i feel like this is an unpopular take but hear me out. he is resourceful and cunning. he is self-preserving and career driven. he has high ambitions. he can be arrogant and self absorbed. he is a good teacher/ leader
mark: gryffindor

most people put slytherin, probably because of his 'alpha male' type personality. i disagree. for one, he's not the most loyal... i think he's a good natural leader with an open, honest approach. he is brave and strong willed. he is passionate and idealistic
lexie: ravenclaw

hufflepuff is also a very valid choice but her intelligence is probably her outstanding quality. she is both logical and wise with good advice to give. she is a perfectionist and competitive. she is patient and loyal. her negative traits are more hufflepuff
stephanie: gryffindor

i originally thought ravenclaw for sure but i thought about it more and i just think she's so strong and brave and confident. she is ambitious and hardworking. she is trusting (maybe too much) and passionate about what she does
jo: hufflepuff

she is fair and patient and kind and warm. friendly and tolerant. she is often selfless, meaning she puts others first. she is also hardworking and practical. she is very well-rounded
levi: ravenclaw

i've never thought much about his character if i'm honest but this seems to make sense. he is intelligent and curious. he is more of an observer than a doer. and he is fairly unique
deluca: gryffindor

i found this one hard but ended up with gryffindor more because of process of elimination. but i do think he fits! he is brave and outspoken. he is strong willed and passionate. he can be reckless (but i hope they develop this with his mental health storyline)
carina: hufflepuff

i hope carina gets more of a storyline so her personality can really shine. from what we've seen she is extremely kind hearted and giving. she is selfless and super caring. she is hardworking and very open-minded. she is fiercely loyal to those she loves
amelia: ravenclaw

she could definitely also be a hufflepuff. she is quirky and unique. she is highly competitive and a perfectionist. she makes witty remarks and has an intelligent sense of humour. she is accepting and tolerant
link: hufflepuff

he is super genuine and kind. i think his main quality is how much he cares for others and is willingness to listen. he is patient, trustworthy and fair. he is loyal and modest. i just hope he doesn't fuck up
maggie: ravenclaw

even though she is a kind hearted, warm and friendly she is also such an intelligent queen and has worked so so hard to get to where she is. she is logical and smart and wise and basically has the biggest brain. she's also very loyal and a good learner
teddy: ravenclaw

i love teddy but i think her morality and loyalty is potentially questionable after recent events. she is extremely resourceful however and is both logical and bright. she is also curious and inquisitive. she is messy but she's kind (someone get the reference)
owen hunt: gryffindor

before i start i want to say gryffindor does not mean good person just as slytherin does not mean bad person. owen can act in a way that he thinks as chivalrous and heroic (even if it's really not). he's stubborn and has very idealistic views
nathan: gryffindor

i know he cheated when he was with megan but i feel like his character had developed a lot between that and when we met him. he is persistent and driven as well as warm hearted and giving. he is trusting and willing to see the best in others
burke: ravenclaw

he is very intellectual and prides himself on that more than anything else, including his personal relationships. he is determined and serious. he enjoys learning and understanding new things. he's probably slytherin tbh but i don't claim him
ben: hufflepuff

gryffindor was also a potential because of his bravery and chivalry but he is also probably the kindest male character on greys and his heart is so full of love and care. he is loyal and dependable as well as patient and just. he has good intentions always
nico: slytherin

i mean he hasn't had much screen time but so far he comes across quite cool and detached. he seems reserved and secretive and i hope he and his mental health are ok. he is also sharp and academically inclined
tom: slytherin

i thought ravenclaw was also a pretty good match but settled for slytherin because of his absolute focus on goals. he is quick witted, bold and assertive which is oddly charming (idk). he has strong loyalty but only to those he cares about and he is cold to others
qadri: gryffindor

i really wish qadri got a better storyline and she 100% deserves more than being fired. her perseverance and ambition i think are her most outstanding qualities and while ravenclaw would also make sense i see her as stubborn (in a good way) and strong willed
