let me just add: There are many questions about states joining or filing Amicus briefs in the TX case so let me explain

1. Some states may join the actual case which would make them plaintiffs, they would join Texas as plaintiffs in the case

2. Some states may file Amicus Briefs which basically translates to "friend of the court"....These states would not be a party in the case but they would write to the court offering information, expertise, or insight that has a bearing on the issues in the case

3. States could also just publicly state "We support Texas in the case", without actually doing anything to help the case.

Its gonna take a little to figure out what states are doing what....so stay calm and patient until its all figured out!
