If you're a trans woman who has been 'out' ' less than two years can I just advise you to recognise a tendency to over intellectualise your transition to make sense of it and skip directing that energy at arguing with people on Twitter who are obsessed with debating sex/gender
the 'sex or gender' bit is a sideshow. Almost everyone conflates them, all of the time or some of the time. Don't waste energy on it - come to your own view. But in politics ask more relevant questions:
What problems am I causing anyone? What harm or risks do I endure for being me? What services should be there to help me minimise these risks and harms? What role should the State play? Is 'sex/gender' the material question here? Or is it which resources are being denied to me?
I'm saying this not because I'm very wise but because I wish I had been more wise, not that long ago
