My 2 cents about medication and ADHD:
I discovered that I had ADHD 3 years ago, but only by January of this year I tried medication.
I was very anxious about it because of how treating this kind of stuff is talked about and how "dangerous" it can be.

I had 3 therapist in my life, none of then really was against medicine, but they were always like "it's your choice, but think about it a lot before".
And... I mean, shit. Saying it is really not helpful when you are anxious and have trouble working because of ADHD.

So, them I finally got courage to start a treatment and happy found an awesome doctor that really listened to me and come with a medication treatment that fit my needs.
First months it was very impactfully the difference.

It was kinda crazy and I didn't know how to feel, even said to my GF something like:
"I feel like I was dreaming this whole time and I just wake up" while I cried.
And then you get used to it and start kinda having a normal life.

Yeah, it's December, I've plenty of xp on taking medication, so some stuff I feel Ionly got done because I seeked help:
- got a nice job;
- finished a bunch of projects;
- finished more videogames this month than I did in the whole last year;
- engaged more with ttrpg comunity.

So yeah, seek help, seek quality of life. It's worth it even if it feels like too much work for your not so average brain.
