1. Being made new. The Message paraphrases this as "getting a fresh start" (2 Chronicles 5:17). I know I badly need a fresh start and for Him to rid me of my sin.
2. Being reconciled to God. The Message explains this by saying, “God put the wrong on Him [Jesus] who never did anything wrong, so we could be put right with God” (2 Corinthians 5:21).
3. Wow! God’s generosity flowed through Jesus so we can be reconciled to God. We can be new people, no longer overwhelmed by our sin.
